FIU launched Google Gemini as an available artificial intelligence tool in Fall 2026. To use Google Gemini as an FIU community member, you must authenticate to Google with your FIU single sign on (SSO) credentials.

Follow these steps to access Gemini:

  1. Sign out of all Google accounts;

  2. Visit Google Gemini;

  3. Enter your full FIU e-mail address;

  4. Enter your FIU credentials on a FIU sign-on screen;

  5. If your Gemini account is active, Google Gemini will automatically launch;

  6. If your Gemini account is inactive, it will say you cannot access Google Gemini. In this occurs, please e-mail FIU DoIT to expedite Google Gemini account activation.
