The decisions from the Dade County circuit and county courts are mainly available in two places. These include the Florida Law Weekly Supplement database and the Florida Supplement legal sets in print. This database and print publication also contain Circuit and County Court decisions from other counties in Florida. Discussion appears below on how to access each.
The Florida Law Weekly Supplement link appears below. After clicking on it, click again on the link entitled “Florida Law Weekly, Weekly Supplement, & Weekly Federal.

After clicking on the link above, the system should ask you for your FIU Credentials. These should be the same username and password that you use to access your FIU email. If you are not an FIU student, you can still access this database if you are physically on campus. Please speak to a librarian so they can set you up with a public access computer.
Once inside the database, look at the top of the page. You should see the header “Select a Publication”. Click on the small circle to the right of the header entitled “FLW Supplement”. This will give you access to Miami Dade County Circuit and County court opinions from the present and dating back to October 1992. You can search by keyword or browse by year.
For decisions prior to October 1992, you need to look at print publications entitled the Florida Supplement and the Florida Supplement Second. These are located on the third floor of the law library by the call number KFF51.F56. The Florida Supplement contains 50 volumes. It includes cases from May 1950 to August 1980. There are 4 digest volumes at the end of this set that serve as an index to the whole set. They are entitled “Florida Supplement First”. They contain digest topics in alphabetical order.
Finally, the Florida Supplement Second contains another 50 volumes. They contain cases from August 1980 to November 1991. There is one digest volume at the end that serves as an index for the whole set. It is entitled “Florida Supplement Second” It also contains digest topics in alphabetical order.
