Here’s how to log in via Canvas app:

Once you’ve added West Academic to your navigation bar you’ll be able to log in on Canvas. Here are the steps to do so:

1. Click “West Academic” on your navigation bar.

2. Enter the email address and password associated with your West Academic Account. 

  • If you aren’t sure what your username and password is, do not create a new account. Use the “forgot password” link.

3. Click “sign in.”

Before you can begin assigning specific reading or quizzes, you need to configure your account to meet the needs of the individual course in which you are working. Here is how:

1. Sign into West Academic via Canvas (LINK TO FAQ)

2. Under the text “Configure West Academic Tools” and “Get Started with West Academic” click on the “Set Up” button.

   

3.  After clicking set up, select “add a new quiz” then select your subject and click “next”

   

4. Select the book you would like the quiz to be tied to and the click next. 

  • If you do not wish to tie the quiz to a book, you may select “Do not key to a specific casebook”

5. Use the dropdown menus to select the term and academic year and select “Submit.”

   

6.  After completing the above steps, you will see a green checkmark and a message to let you know that you’ve successfully configured your West Academic Tools. To load assignments, follow the instructions located here.
