Dear FIU Law Student and Faculty,
I was forwarded a request from you regarding how to access Bloomberg BNA U.S. Law Week links sent via an email notification.
Please note that except for Bloomberg Law, CALI, LexisNexis (Advance), and Westlaw, all FIU Law online resources are accessible via authentication through a single sign on using your FIU credentials (your email and password). If you do not have your unique logins to these resources, please contact Janet Reinke. (On a side note, you can access all of Bloomberg BNA from Bloomberg Law; you may find this more convenient than the steps below . . . it is up to you.)
When on campus, you will not notice this authentication process, as the system already recognizes FIU Law campus IP addresses and your authentication is already done upon sign in to your office computer or FIU secure wifi (if you are using a mobile device while on campus).
When off campus, you will have to override your computer's or mobile device's IP address through FIU's EZproxy portal. To access direct links to content when off campus, please use the Link Resolver / EZproxy URL Generator. By copying and pasting links into the Link Resolver / EZproxy URL Generator, you will be prompted to login through FIU's EZProxy portal using your FIU credentials.
Both the EZproxy Off Campus access and Link Resolver / EZproxy URL Generator are available from the FIU Law Library's website. We encourage all of our users to make a habit of using the FIU Law Library's website as the first stop to perform legal research or access FIU Law eResources.
You may find it convenient to download the EZproxy Bookmarklet (see third tab) available for all major internet browsers and iPad app.
Please let me know if you have any questions or continue to experience difficulty accessing U.S. Law Week.
